Emperor Yes and Temer died in 1328 after a four-year illness. His designated heir, Crown Prince Arugebagh, was enthroned at Shangdu as Emperor Tianxun. General El Temer launched his long-planned coup d'état to restore the Kaishan line of cons to the throne. Tog Temer swore that when his elder brother Coassilla arrived from the far west, he would see the throne to him in proper filial fashion.
