The civil magistrate would seek to establish a state of affairs where in his realm, the Christian faith was privileged. The courts are going to handle case law and they're going to argue from that. But it's going to be founded on that: Jesus Christ is the Lord of this nation. He'd also avoid making some errors contrary to the nature of the Christian faith.
