Would Any of the British Teams Have Won a World Cup in the 1930s?

Would any of the British teams have won it if they'd bother to enter in the 1930s? Martin Jones question, that's a great question. I think my answer would be possibly, but probably not. The English who played, who tended to actually play more in particularly continental Europe in the 30s. They just didn't have the experience of playing away from home soil. If we think about a team that would possibly have won, it wouldn't necessarily have been England. Wales were very strong in the 1930S and extremely competitive against England and Scotland. But again, we had the issue that they just didn't travel.
