The Mets don't want anyone to know how long Quintana is going to be out. Most teams, if they're smart, you do not ever release what the actual timetable is until you have to. Because you are trying to replace the injured player. Now, the Mets could say, we're not replacing him. We've got Tyler McGill and David Peterson. We were counting on that. You want a half a billion dollar team with Peterson and McGill at the end of your rotation? Are you kidding me? That is simply not happening. They're going to go out and acquire someone. Do you think anyone will care?
