Frankfurt School of Critical Theories and the Frankfurt School's Lack of Engagement With Post-Colonial Theory
There hasn't been sufficient engagement by these central figures in the second third and now fourth generation of the Frankfurt School. I ended up sort of coming to realize that maybe people like Habermas and Hannett hadn't really engaged deeply with this kind of challenge because they couldn't tell a very different story about normativity if that makes sense. It seems to me that calling it to question the story of European modernity as the outcome of a process of historical progress is central to their work.
