Is There a Necessity of Adaptation?
i think i would call a kind of naive adaptationism, assuming that because something is here and it's been around there for a while, it must be adaptive. And so when you look at the the recent history in east africa, you see how, for example, masipast list went for different kinds of property regimes. And its not in explaining tha variation. One of the things we do is e take a very basic economic r er an perspective. And so in what cases does it pay off to have exclusive control over resources, and in what cases doesn't it pay off?
