The Unintended Side Effect of a Matrix Organization
With other models, they do not tell where the managers go. They often intentionally say, well, we're not touching any management relationships. That means as a side effect, you might end up with a matrix organization. I say the managers go in the blue box; that's where you manage from and you stay out of everywhere else.
