The Problems of the Templers and Hospitals in the Thirteenth Century

The templers and hospitals were the first international bankers from the 12th century onwards. They lent money to people who needed it so that they could pay back their loans later in life. Were criticized by on by contemporaries for getting involved in politics when civil war broke out in holy land but continued fighting muslims until the very end. Their role became much more marked as if there was far less kingdom and the rulers had less power.
