Are Friendships Good for Your Health?
Research says that people with strong friendships tend to have better mental health and better physical health. Larger social networks lower our risk of premature death in the same way exercise or dieting do, if not more than both those activities. There are also psychological benefits such as how friends help us cope with stress.
