Sonaluminescence Is a Very Effective Compression Technique

Sound waves could be used to trigger fusion inside of heavy water. All you need is high pressure, and sonaluminescence does just that. But it doesn't actually ignite interfusion or create energy from the strong force. What's the theoretical limit? We don't have a working model for what's happening.
