Catherine's Role as Queen of England
Catherine is this powerhouse. She's been raised really for queenship. And that's in contrast to her husband Henry, who was just the spare heir. He should never have come to this throne. For 10 or 11 years he had no expectation of this throne. So Catherine deputises for Henry. He wants to wage war in the manner of his medieval ancestors. Early in his reign he does just that, leaving Catherine behind as regent. This is an incredibly trustworthy appointment really to have a woman in charge. and Catherine plays an absolute blinder. The young party loving king trusted his wife with some serious matters of state.
