There were massive foreclosure crises basically marking this period. Massive landlords are actually part of the American tradition land speculation. And then those independent farming people and artisans as well become essentially, I mean, they end up working for the people who foreclosed them. It was eye opening to me long ago to come across that work in Terry Bowden.
