The Impossibility of Playing and Never Hurt One Another
If the world is utterly unpredictable, how is a child to learn anything? Matter must be indifferent to our wishes. God cannot have made a world in which we could play and never hurt one another. That would require continual miracles and hence no predictable system of nature. So what we all want in childish primitivity is impossible.
