Public Radio - Susan Stamberg
Lisa explains how the public broadcasting act, signed by president johnson in 19 67, was the impetus for national public radio. Susan m is such a great story because it never had occurred to her to work, and really in journalism, much less in radio. And she sort of back ended into the place, not on air to begin with. In the beginning, she was just as a production assistant. She was actually working part time as a new mom.
