Harder Case Anarchy: What It Is and What It Doesn't
Is it possible that welfare under anarchy could in fact be higher than it is under a central government? That's a pretty strong, at least the intimation behind the question that I'm posing is quite strong and in a sense very radical. In order to talk about harder case anarchy, so deviating from those conditions of easiest case anarchy that I mentioned a moment ago, I want to use the case of 18th century Caribbean pirates. But I'm going to show you some evidence that this is in fact true in the world in which we actually live. Okay. First, let's talk about what I call harder case anarchy.
