Are There Survivors?

Survivors of the pompeii eruption have not yet been found. But there are names that we can find in ancient towns around Naples, Italy. People were transported hundreds of miles away from their home during the eruption. The name ancari ande is scratched into plaster on a gymnasium column in pompey. There's also this wonderful altar stone stuck in a wall in a back street in naples. Did people dig for bodies after the eruption?
