The Conquistadors, the Conquistas, the Conquerors

In spanish mythology, the conquistadores do all this on their own. They ally very cleverly with various er er factions and are ruthless in their treatment of what they call the mexicans too. So very quickly they take possession of a continent. Does mean they control it, or there aren't enough of them, but it does mean that, in inead of european terms, it now belongs to, belongs to spain,. apart from the little bit that, by mistake, gets given to portugal.
