The Devastation of Hurricane Maria in Lee County, Florida
Lee County, which includes the hardest hit seaside community of Fort Myers Beach, did not issue a mandatory evacuation order until Tuesday morning. By then, residents told The New York Times that they had little time to evacuate. At least 42 deaths reported in Lee County so far. More than 800 people there have been rescued so far.
