Gogle has data centers in the dowells on a site of an old aluminum smelting facility that closed down years ago, like in the eighties. The company uses water to pull heat away from these computers and then cools the heated water back down. There are people who have proposed systems that would require companies to pay folks directly in order to be able to use their data.
