The Importance of Long Term Trend Following
With trend following, you need to have a trend that is longer than five minutes in terms of just that a little bit of gusto with. And I don't know how heavy central bank intervention is great for just the average guy with a buying whole portfolio because as we've seen in the last 15 years, that usually sets people up for a fall. But then again, you can't control that. Just it surely will happen. Nobody can make a prediction. If you're not prepared for that worst case scenario, if you're not thinking about that through, you'll wake up one day saying "I just trusted the Fed and they were going to take care of me"
