"We can't just not talk about it. And gone are the day too, where we sit in a theory's class or multicultural councilling class, and we talk about this group of people," she says. "No longer should we just talk about like, this is how we counsel with black people, african americans right? But we need to make sure that our students understand the nuances of being a black woman."
