Agl's Liddell Cole Power Station Closes for Gored
Agl energy shut its Liddell Cole Power Station on Friday. The site has been burning fossil fuel to generate power for more than 50 years. More than 90% of the materials in the plant are expected to be recycled, including 70,000 tons of steel. Record levels of power generated from rooftop solar and grid scale renewables are driving down wholesale electricity prices.
