Gardens became sights, not just of leisure, sport and aesthetic enjoyment, but also of scientific inquiry and knowledge dissemination. What i've focused on in particular is kind of smaller, much smaller gardens. Thete are sort of in suburban areas often. So they're just kind of in that rural bit just outside big cities. And s hen thnkn about those gardens and how they relate to other botanic gardens or the public.
