Is the Private Speech of the Teacher a Material Disruption of the Educational Environment?
Teachers and students do not shed their rights at the schoolhouse gate. It is the fact that a teacher expresses a personal belief influence students, not material disruption. If you have opponents of the speech who can end my speech just by being violent, the states responsibility is to main an order so that i can exercise my constitutional rights. This isn't the heckler's veto. This is coach kennedy receiving the reaction he's seeking.
