Poverty in the US is about 11.4% according to the Census Bureau, which is relatively low when you look at the historical context. The income level that we're talking about is around 12 grand a year for a single person. About 16% of families with a child six years or younger were considered food insecure in 2020. And I think it is also very important to point out that there is an enormous racial discrepancy when we are talking about these numbers.
