Now there's lots of debates about whether a a woman cultivating her appearance, conforming to these standards, is empowering or whether she's collaborating in her own oppression. And i also think it's really interesting to think about the way in which beauty has been panized against feminists as well. So feminists are often betrayed as ugly and thiss used as a way to undermine their message, undermine their political asks.
