The Russian War on Cyber Crime
Russian cyber operations have tended toward conventional espionage, augmented by some ransomware privateering and nuisance level distributed denial of service. Contrary to some expert predictions, the cyber crime underground's involvement in the conflict appears to have been minor and short-lived. It appears that hacktivism shades quickly into slacktivism as much of the initial enthusiasm fades.
