The Senate Recommends a Ban on Chinese Social Media Apps
The Senate in Australia is recommending a ban on all bans on social media apps. The way I read this, I thought it was on all Chinese social media app. And I was like, nah, I mean, that's a bit xenophobic, bro. So with all due respect is Australia going to ban Twitter or Twitter's cool because it's not Chinese? We saw this done with a larmingly effective utility in the 2016 presidential election by Cambridge Analytica. Go watch the Netflix documentary The Great Hack.
