Introduction

This is a bi-weekly American history podcast each week. Each week I read a story from American history to my friend Gareth Reynolds who has no idea what the topic is going to be about. Robert Emmett Oedlem was born in Ogden'sburg, New York on August 31st 1851. He was named after an Irish nationalist rebel leader who led a rebellion against the British and got captured and executed for treason.
