Why Is There a War in Ukraine?

Noah Rothman: Why is there a war in Ukraine right now? What are the terms for what does Russia want? And why should the West care? So it depends on who you're asking why we have a war of this scale. The impetus for the war is a desire on Russia's part to either forcibly or persuasively dissuade Ukraine from integrating further with Western economic structures, and to say nothing of military structures.
