Christian Attitudes Survive Very Strongly
In the 19th century, when British were asked to join Ottoman forces in Crimean War, one of the conditions was that they had to crack down on slave trade. You go so far as to say that groups like Islamic State are themselves some extent heirs of this Christian tradition. How long these assumptions will last without the kind of seed bed of actual Christian faith and practice? I don't know the answer to that.
