The New Deal Is a Great Reform Program

Many historians say that FDR improvised what became known as the New Deal, his reform program of his first two terms in office. The watchword for the Roosevelt New Deal as it became known is security. What he meant by security was that he believed that unless ordinary Americans had the economic security of a job, decent housing, reasonable health care and decent education then their personal liberties were being violated.
