The French and the Spanish Fleets - A New Strategy

The british and the allies had quite different approaches to fighting at sea. The french and spanish fleet was large enough, with about 33 battleships, including some of the biggest ships in the world, 35 thousand men on board. And they would eventually face a smaller british force, round 27 battleships, 20 thousand men. As part of that new strategy, napoleon got in touch with admiral villnerv now sitting down in spain, and told him to head round to italy to keep the austrians busy. So the franco sp Spanish fleet ging to leave cadiz and going to sail round into the mediterranean, away from britain.
