The Evolution of the Verse of Eben Kathir

In the first three, four centuries, it's only version a that is predominant. Then some people begin to say version b is better lest just ignore version a. So we see now an evolution taking place. And then what happened as a result of this was that later scholars began to say that these other versions are fabrications.
