When she started off on the hassine teacher was em from a very famouser acting family. She wanted to be a concert singer, and he put her on to the concert stage. After 18 months not being paid, i music hall was the only option for her. I don't think she wanted to go into music hall becase it had a very bad reputation. Amo ladies who put themselves on to the stage were seen as sort of little better than prostitutes,. really, am but she'd sacrificed reputation.
