Chandra Levy's Left Tibia
Chandra Levy's body was found in Rock Creek Park. It had taken detectives 386 days to find Chandra's body. Most of what was found during the initial search were small bones and teeth. After a week, forensics technicians gave up their search believing that what was left of Chandra's remains must have been eaten or moved by local wildlife long ago. Two weeks later, private investigators hired by the Levy family returned to Rock Creek Park to further comb the area. The Investigators found a glaring oversight shortly after reaching the area. Chandra's left Tibia, also known as the shin bone, sticking out of the dirt. This is the second longest bone in the human body just after the femur
