Uthman ibn Affan: Governance and Grievances

In this video, Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi delves about the assassination of Uthman Ibn 'Affan RA and also shares with us the numerous complaints that were made against the third Caliph. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ had made predictions pertaining to the trials between the Sahabas and numerous hadith support these statements as have been shared with us by the Shaykh. A significant one among these is a statement made by Hudhaifa RA  who says - "The start of the trials is the murder of Uthman, and the end of it is when the Dajjal comes" Next, Shaykh Yasir analyses the imploring conditions that led to the assassination of Uthman IBn Affan RA and enlists the magnanimously overblown and convoluted complaints registered against the Khalifa. Prominent amongst these are - burning of the Mushafs, lack of participation in Battle of Badr, fleeing the battle of Uhud, preventing people of Madinah from using public land for pasture, performing 4 rak'ahs instead of 2 at Mina during Hajj and many more. Each complaint brings to the fore the reasons behind these doings which is explicitly dealt with by Shaykh Yasir Qadhi.
