I think they underestimate the power of ideology and the power of the ideological apparatuses. They see capitalism's capacity to act like historical and social bleach as a kind of reagent, but it has a fundamental dynamic. And that dynamic is always there. But some of these other dynamics will continue to operate, but in new ways on that fundamental dynamic. I don't get my nickers in a twist about why we need to give up or hope about when people sort of say, you know, right-wing media,. whip up demonization of immigrants, okay, trans people or whatever.
