Open AI Is a Ball of Contrasts Wrapped Up in Its Own History
OpenAI has a charter in their founding documents that says our primary fiduciary duty is to humanity. They actually can take more risks than a Google or a Microsoft in the AI products they built at least more reputational risks, because this is what they do. And so even though their mission is all about safety, what really appealed to people in the field about working for them is that they could move faster.
