Photo Poetic Text - What Photography Can Do

The project emerges from some encounters i had with photo poetic text, kind of early on. A one thing that comes mind is emily clannin's outstanding book on the late, the late nineteenth century postpushkinian poet, afanasi fet. And she writes about how fiet is one of the first generations of russian poets to sort of have his photograph taken and to be immersed in this new kind of cultural phenomenon of photography. I think it gives us a new relationship with memory and and how we conceptualize the passage of time. Many, many a photo theorists write about how photography forces us to encounter our own mortality, make sense of death in a new way.
