How do you reconcile some of that stuff within the context of ideas around fellow centrism and things like that? Because I mean, I think a lot of the ideas that he proposed around sort of body parts for lack of a better term are often interpreted. The question of the fallis is interesting, because the falli is not the penis. And so I always take the line of the feminist psychoanalytic theories, Jacqueline Rose, who said that for her as a feminist was to understand that Freud was descriptive and not prescriptive. He was describing something pretty rigorously, not without his faults, but able to see very clearly in ways that I even think we can't today
