The Wildness of Sussex
Isabella Tree's Sussex estate was once an intensively farmed land. 17 years on they were one and a half million pounds in debt. They left the fields after their last harvest to allow seed rain to come in. It allowed hawthorn, blackthorn, dogrows, brambles to take off. This is kind of habitat people look at normally and consider absolute wasteland it's considered good for nothing but it's one of the most biodiverse habitats we have.
