CMC Arthardesis - A Brief Overview
CMC arthoscopic debridement is indicated for stage 2 to 3 disease in young male heavy laborers. Trapeziacomy plus or minus ligament reconstruction results in 25% subsidence postoperatively. CMC denervation is recommended for stage 1 through 4 disease. Finally, CMC prosthetic arthoplasty is not recommended.
