The Meaning of the Sabbath
Sabbath has various permutations. In Genesis it's an exaltation of God's work in creation. Later on in the Bible it becomes God's deliverance that is experienced by the Israelites in the Exodus. Through Jesus Christ we are delivered from sin and the grave and he has taken on the burden of the law. He's the one who didn't abolish it but fulfill it. So it is in Christ that we have our Sabbath rest.
