The Mobile Workforce Coalition's Push for Reform of Tax Laws to Address Remote Workers
A group called the mobile workforce coalition has pushed for Congress to pass federal legislation that would create a 30 day grace period for visiting workers in other states. This is sort of a conversation that's coming into the public consciousness, and there already is some pushback against these potential applications more broadly to remote workers. And if you don't file a tax return, if you've worked in a certain state for a couple days, that's technically what you're doing. It's just silly to have people in that situation.
