The History of the Abbey
In 1161 the Pope canonized Edward the Confessor. King John confirmed the manner of Islip where the Confessor had been born to the Abbey in the 1200s. Henry suddenly within the course of a few years adopt so that the Confessor is his patron saint. The monks of Westminster come to Henry, who co-spends a very great deal of time at Westminster because they're no longer continental possessions to take him out of England.
