It seems sometimes when you were going in towards the target, se was particular that the whole place was absolutely alive with gunfire. Usually we take little action about flack unless we can hear it crack or smell it. We have to get to a target on time, and we don't want to dart about all over the sky unless there is real danger. A single searchlight picks up an aircraft on our starboard side. Within a second or two, a huge number of searchlights illuminate this aircraft,.
