For the eighteenth century, theyre really qrite quite rer. For instance, there was a massof slave rebellion in jamaica in 17 60 known as taky's revolt. But all those judicial investigations have disappeared. So when we write about ataky's revolt, and somebody just wrote a wonderful book about it, vincent brown em. There there is no direct evidence from the rebelling people themselves. And so these records for berbis really are unusual. We have such records in the nineteenth century, but for the eighteenth century,. i think this must be the largest such archive.
