Introduction
I am so thankful that our understanding and overall acceptance of intrauterine devices has really changed over the last 20 years. For example, progestin IUS, we now know is non-inferior as emergency contraception compared to a copper tea. We've also learned when to apply this in the postpartum patient because this whole issue of doing it immediately after delivery is relatively new,. But again, it wasn't historically done just 20 years ago.
