Did the FBI Look Into the Parachute?

There's another story of a guy contacting the FBI saying that he had created a divining device, the special device that could point to where the money is. So it's clear that the FBI expended an enormous amount of resources looking into what I would call credible valid suspects and leads but then there was also a lot of effort and resources wasted on just crazy stuff. There has never been a credible eyewitness that can finger D.B. Cooper after the guy jumped out of the jet. And if you believe as I do that, he went back and ultimately retrieved the money seven months later. It does beg the question, well, did he retrieve the parachute at the same time? Does it make
